Who is responsible for the data collection on this website?

The data collected on this website are processed by the website operator. The operator’s contact details can be found in the website’s required legal notice.

How do we collect your data?

Some data are provided directly by you, e.g. the data you enter in our contact form when sending us a message.

Other data are collected automatically when you visit the website.

When you access our website, a cookie automatically records information of a general nature. This information (server log files) contains information such as the type of web browser, the operating system used, or the domain name of your Internet service provider. This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver the contents of web pages requested by you. It is general information only and does not allow to identify you as a person.

Cookies

Like many other websites and as mentioned above, we also use “cookies.” Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive and saved by your browser and allow us to automatically receive certain data, such as IP address, browser used, or operating system. They cannot be used to launch programs or to transfer viruses to your computer and have the sole purpose to facilitate navigation and enable the correct display of our websites.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies” and are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain in your device’s memory until you delete them.

Of course, you can also view our website without cookies; some features may not work though if you have disabled the use of cookies.

In no case will the data collected by us be passed on to third parties or a link with personal data will be established without your consent.

How are your data stored?

For data provided through the contact form, we receive an email with your contact data and your message. This email is stored in an email archive maintained by the website operator.

Other than that, the website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in “server log files.” These are:

  • Browser type and browser version

  • Operating system used

  • Referrer URL

  • Host name of the accessing computer

  • Time of the server request

  • IP address

These data will not be combined with data from other sources.

What do we use your data for?

The information you provide in the contact form are used to respond to you in an appropriate manner and will not be used for any other purpose. Some of the data that are collected automatically help ensure the proper functioning of the website. 

Transfers of personal data outside the EEA

We partner with service providers in order to use a cloud computing solutions, and  we may transfer your personal data to a recipient outside of the European Economic Area (EEA).  Where we do this, and the recipient is in a country which the European Commission has decided does not have adequate data protection laws, we will make sure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information and your rights under privacy law.

Data retention

We will hold your personal data for the time specified in our data retention schedules. 

Lawful basis for processing

The lawful basis we rely on to process your personal data is either Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR, for example when we require your consent for the optional cookies we use, or Article 6(1)(f) which allows us to process personal data when it’s necessary for our legitimate interests. 

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right to request access to your stored data at any time. You may also request to have it corrected or deleted, and/or restrict us from processing your personal data at any time unless the processing is lawful or certain conditions and exemptions apply.
